Conservation solutions, for today and the future

Our interest, our professional passion, is to help our clients find sound, realistic and sustainable solutions for the continuing use of the places they care for, and care about.

That core opportunities and  challenges are essentially the same for a fragile cottage, an early Church,  a robust federation house or an industrial building needing adaptation to support its effective re-use.

Owners keep heritage places and repair and improve them, because they have a use and meaning for them, and often to the wider community as well. Heritage places enrich all our lives through their presence, use and active management.

Our role is to help that happen.

J.S (Jim) Kerr defined conservation as being:
“about the care and continuing development of a place in such a way that its significance is retained and revealed and its future is made secure.”
(The Conservation Plan, J.S.Kerr,2013)
